(1) 「be coming up」表示「很快來臨，即將發生」，例如：With Christmas coming up, few people have much money to spare.（耶誕節快要到了，很少人手裡還有很多閒錢。）另外，「come up」還可表示「走近，走過來」，例如：One of the teachers comes up and starts talking to me.（一位老師走過來，開始和我談話。）
